Redefining Womanhood — God’s Way

Womanhood isn’t about filters or timelines—it’s about wisdom, grace, and God’s purpose.

For years, womanhood was sold to me as an image. A performance. A checklist of beauty standards wrapped in anti-aging creams, shapewear, and filters.

But standing in the mirror after my surgeries, I knew something had to shift. My reflection didn’t match who I thought I was supposed to be. And yet, for the first time in my life, I felt a strange kind of excitement. Excited to embrace every scar, every stretch mark, every wrinkle, every story they told.

Womanhood needed a rewrite.

The World’s Definition vs. God’s

The world says: “You’re washed up. You’re less desirable. You’ve lost your prime.”

But God says:

  • “You are still chosen.”

  • “You are still beloved.”

  • “You are still purposed.”

Proverbs 31 reminds us that womanhood is not about flawless skin or perfect bodies — it’s about wisdom, strength, character, and reverence for God. That’s a kind of beauty that deepens with age, not fades.

What Womanhood Looks Like Now

For me, womanhood looks like peace. A quiet morning with coffee. Listening to ocean sounds while I gather my thoughts. Choosing authenticity over performance. Loving simple, and loving it.

It looks like saying yes to my calling even when culture says it’s too late. It looks like speaking and teaching with confidence because God’s oil on my life cost me something.

A Word for You

If you’ve been hiding behind filters, timelines, or shame — let this be your permission to step out. Every line, scar, and story on your body is proof that you’ve lived, and that you’re still here.

You are not too late. You are not too much. You are not too broken. You are becoming — just as God designed you to.
