Becoming the Woman Who Rises Early

Becoming the woman who rises early isn’t about chasing success — it’s about creating space for stillness, prayer, and peace. Learn how to protect your mornings, set spiritual boundaries, and start your day aligned with God’s rhythm.

Inspired by Proverbs 31:15 – “She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household…"

Over the years, I’ve learned that how I start my morning determines how I carry the rest of my day. I don’t rush anymore. I don’t wake up running. I rise intentionally.

My mornings are my most sacred time — a protected space where it’s just me, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Before I pour into anyone else, I let Him pour into me. That means my phone is on Do Not Disturb, and peace is my priority.

There’s power in waking up early, but there’s even more power in doing it with purpose. The Proverbs 31 Woman rises early, not just to get ahead, but to get aligned. She understands that strength doesn’t come from striving — it comes from stillness.

“She rises while it is yet night…” — Proverbs 31:15

Rising early is more than a productivity habit — it’s a spiritual strategy. God meets us in the quiet hours, before the world makes its demands. It’s the time where wisdom whispers and clarity flows.

For me, rising early is an act of surrender. It says, “Lord, before I do anything today, I want to hear from You first.”

I’ve learned to guard that time fiercely. I light my candle, play soft ocean sounds, and allow my thoughts to settle. Some mornings, I journal what I sense God speaking. Other mornings, I just sit in silence and breathe.

I don’t scroll. I don’t rush. I receive.

That intentional stillness has become my daily alignment — mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s my reminder that I’m not behind; I’m exactly where I need to be when I move in rhythm with God.

Faith Moment In Action

Becoming the woman who rises early is about boundaries and spiritual maturity. It’s saying to yourself every morning:

  • My peace is non-negotiable.

  • My first appointment belongs to God.

  • My energy is sacred, and I get to decide how it’s spent.

When you create that margin, you give God room to refresh your soul, organize your thoughts, and order your steps.

In Action:

Tomorrow morning, rise ten minutes earlier than usual. Sit in stillness with your coffee or journal and simply say, “Good morning, Lord. I give You this day.” Let Him set the tone before the world does.

Journal Prompt for Reflection

  • What boundaries do I need to set around my mornings?

  • How does God speak to me when I slow down and make space for Him?

  • What would my days look like if peace became my first priority?

Write your answers in your journal this week and notice how different your mornings feel when you protect that time.

If this message speaks to you, my new book, The Rise of the Proverbs 31 Woman, releasing November 14th, will bless you. This book will help you rediscover what it truly means to rise — in purpose, peace, and power — without pressure.
